San Diego is one of America's finest cities. Many people are obsessed with San Diego, and many are falling in love with the place that enhances travel. It has now become a tourist's favorite and even locals would fall in love again once they rediscover this finest city, as they call it. The Mediterranean weather, the mile-long beaches, the theme parks, museums, and theaters, there are just a lot of places worth visiting.

San Diego Attractions

San Diego travel means touring around the sprawling city of attractions. You will find yourself travelling the city's attractions quite a distance. Some may rent a car or you can go around the city with a public transport, the San Diego Trolley in blue, green, and orange lines. However, not all San Diego attractions are travelled by the Trolley like the Balboa Park and the Zoo; but they can be reached by the bus. Here are some of the attractions you might want to go to for your travel.

Balboa Park. This is the largest cultural park in the U.S. It covers 1,200 acres, has fifteen museums, several art venues, and lush gardens. You would find in Balboa Park the Museum of History, Model Railroad Museum, Museum of Art, and the Timken Museum of Art.

Old Town and Heritage Park Victorian Village. This is a historic state park that encompasses six blocks. This is home of the historic Spanish settlement and is considered to be the state's birthplace. It is home to specialty shops, several Mexican restaurants, weekly artisan market, several museums, and seven Victorian homes-Queen Anne, Italianate among others.

Gaslamp Quarter. This is a landmark district that was home to the city's houses of ill repute. Now it is a delightful place to visit with a chock-full of restaurants, gallerias, shops, and drinking establishments.

Theme Parks. This is what San Diego is famous for. Sea World, Mission Bay, and San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. Sea World features a whale of a park of 22 acres. Mission Bay has those water coaster rides, Journey to Atlantis, and Shipwreck Rapids that excite the dolphins, polar bears, and sharks. The city Zoo's Wild Animal Park is the place where animals are in their natural surroundings adorned with exhibits just like you are in the heart of Africa. There is also a two-mile walk trail where you see the botanical garden of the elephants, tigers, and lions.

Beaches. Everyone ought to visit the mile-long beaches of the city. The area has over 70 miles of sand starting in Coronado Central Beach, Silver Strand State Beach, South Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, to the Mission Bay beaches, and down to the Pacific beaches.

San Diego travel is definitely loved by tourists and even local San Diegans. There is just a lot to traverse in the area, and it has lots to offer to tourists. A tour of the city could take days. Travel to the area is really worth taking.
